Orbital Night
Drift beside a blue gas giant as turbulent cloud belts turn in the sunlight. Fine dust bands form pale rings, the planet casts a shadow across them, and a rocky moon follows its orbit against distant stars.
This scene is rendered in three dimensions with Three.js. A gently drifting viewpoint, moving cloud layers, and an orbiting moon bring the view to life. Reduced-motion preferences show a still view, and a static illustration appears on devices without WebGL.
Scenes rotate every two minutes. Use the circular pause control to stay in one place, the clock to set a countdown, or the fullscreen button for an immersive view. No account is needed. The timer runs in this tab and resets if you reload or leave the page.
